An ancient ceremony of the Pleiades, passed into my care by my Grampa Peña, brings forth the history and origin of the Anasazi people of the Southwest, and the gift of Blue Corn, both as a food and as a magical resource. On this night of February 7th the stars of the Pleiades will be straight overhead at midnight, the time of year when they dispense their greatest blessings upon the Earth, a time, traditionally, to extinguish all fires and light new fires. This is carried forth in the Pleiades Ceremony by extinguishing our former misalignment with the starry patterns of the sky and rekindling a newly aligned relationship with Creation.

As the song of the 7 Sisters is sung, the stars of the Pleiades move across the sky, reorienting their position, bringing about a realignment of our Stars-Within (chakras) with the originating pattern of Creation. If you are looking to experience the real magic of Shamanism, this is it!

Jade Wah'oo will use 7 kernels of blue corn, tossed upon his Shaman's Drum, to divine the state and degree of balance/imbalance of the individuals of the group. The corns, when thrown, would, in an ideal world, have the same configuration as the stars of the Pleiades. The degree of misalignment observable in how the corns lie, relative to the pattern of the Pleiades, indicates the manner and degree of imbalance within the group members. The observation of the Pleiades in the night sky will reveal the same pattern as the corns that have been tossed upon the Drum as they shift in response to the song and divination. By once again singing the song of the Pleiades, and realigning the corns with the originating pattern of the Pleiades, are the stars of the Pleiades likewise moved back into their original pattern. This is evidenced within ourselves as a realignment with the starry patterns of our sky, a greater sense of 'place' and a dynamic opening to the forces and resources of Creation.
