Queen Mother PooNaa's Sunrise Ceremony.. THe Hopis and the Cool Syncronicity that transpired....

PER JOHN's URGING... HERE IS MY BLOG FROM SATURDAY!!! NOW YOU ALL HAVE TO DO IT! Having major ROTA cermonial "withdrawl"- like the rest of you.. - I woke up last Saturday at 3:30am to attend Queen Mother Poo Naa of Ghana's Sunrise Ceremony to give back with my friend Tara. (See pic attached and/or visit her website at
www.rainqueenpoonaa.com. We arrived in pitch blackness to Santa Monica Will Rogers State Beach. It was quite beautiful and special to watch as the light came up -but no sun!. we all gave gifts to the Queen Mother and to the sea.. and did a special ceremony to thank mother earth and the ocean for life/sustenance - and it was all about giving back half of what you take ..to have the "right" circuitry" from the heart... with gratitude and spiritual sustenance.... In perfect syncronicity.. this was all part of the Hopi symbolism i read about the night before in the Book of the Hopi by Frank Waters. This book came highly recommended by the Hopis as an authoritative book on their culture - in case any of you haven't read it already. Since my Hopi grandfather's recent surfacing and my lifelong connection to the Bluebird and Bear - it is especially enlightening to connect the dots to my life path and re-learn these sacred ways...... In perfect syncronicty, the chapter i read in Frank Waters book (the night before) was all about mother earth and child symbol of Tapu and what it represents along with the swastika symbol that the Hopis used as a sign of migration to mark the four corners..which was coincidentally used Saturday in Queen Poo Naa's sunrise ceremony- (See photo) as a positive symbol, not the "evil" symbol it came to represent with WWII.. As this symbol shows us.. .. the opposite of bad (the nazi Swastika) can also be a symbol of good .. just like Osama Bin Laden .. is the opposite of Obama/Biden.......
.but when we are truly in our hearts..and not our minds.. these dualities of good and bad - go away for good.. I was wearing my Bolivian amaray necklace along with this beautiful Dolphin fin necklace my friend Magdalene gave me along with two wooden whales- and Ive seen nothing but Whales and Dolphins for the last 48 hours - everywhere!!!!.. both in reality and art form! so strange.. as blue -humpback season really isn't for a few more weeks in CA.. and the dolphins were flipping their tales all along the shoreline throughout the ceremony ... it was quite magical for me - considering i've lived in LA for 5 years now and have never seen the whales or dolphins in abundance like that before.
