Julia De Flores Medicine Woman of Peru

Julia was with us on the first Journey to Peru in 2004. While in Peru again in 2008 I met Rita on the street and that initiated this interview with Julia.

This is a clip from a larger interview that we will be creating a DVD and download for in the new year.

She is a beautiful grandmother and owner operator of a retreat and hotel in Ollantaytambo Peru.

Description
This hotel is run by a couple from Ollantaytambo, Asencios & Julia Flores. Julia is a medicine woman known throughout the valley for her mystical healing treatments. She also teaches internationally. Munay Tika (sacred flower) Rumira is a great retreat for those who are in search of peace in the Sacred Valley. To arrive here you will take a bumpy road from Ollantaytambo, then a windy paved road to Rumira, then a windy, bumpy road to the hotel property (they will arrange transport for you or you can hire a taxi in town).

Overlooking the valley of Rumira, this hotel is set up a bit like its own town, with a variety of bungalows dotting the 10 hectares of land it sits on. In the middle of the property is a large ‘Sala de Ceremonias’ where spiritual ceremonies are held by a variety of groups who rent the space for retreats. Up the hill you will find a terraced seating area where you can relax and contemplate the spirituality of the area. Further up the hill is the main dining hall where meals are cooked and served.

This is my first attempt at expressing the vision behind World ViewZ, while in Film school at
Zaki Gordon Institute for Independent Filmmakers.

Diane and Myself have traveled to many different cultures and have created these cultural events with the aspiration of building bridges between cultures and people.

The World ViewZ site exists as tools for us all to share the best we have to offer from every culture in order to help ourselves meet the challenges we face as a modern culture in this unique and glorious time we live in.
