TIM WEED BAND

After a packed-house concert in January followed by overwhelming reviews, Point Reyes resident Tim Weed is very excited to bring his band back to the Dance Palace for an encore performance on Saturday, April 11th. This time around however they will be joined by their master percussionist from Brazil, Poranguí Carvalho. According to Weed, "Poranguí has SO much fire, passion, and joy in his playing and spirit that inspires and uplifts our music to a whole new level".
Soulful vocals and beautiful harmonies; banjo, mandolin, guitars, bass, violin and a host of exotic percussion; their concerts take audiences on an adventurous journey through highly varied musical terrain and exotic soundscapes.
At 7:00 we'll start with an interactive performance featuring Poranguí. The Tim Weed Band will perform at 7:30, and afterward we'll have an informal celebration for Tim's 50th birthday with impromptu music performances and special guests.
