Why is it so hard to listen?

Why is it, when you have an important message to pass on, no-one listens?

In this day and age, when an important message is being spread, why does the world not listen?

We were given ears to hear, eyes to see, mouths to send messages and yet we only seem to use those to hear bad things, to see brutality and to pass on viscious vituperations. Has our society become so shallow and hardened to the horrors all around us?

Have you ever sat in your favourite bar and truly listened and watched? Do you hear the same thing, see the same people and wonder if there is more? Well there is more, if you use your ears to see clearly, if you use your eyes perceptively and if you use your mouth wisely. Your heart needs to be listened to as well, for if you do not fill it with love it will wither and die.

This world has messengers in it. People with a loud clear message that needs to be heeded. If we do not listen, we will be doomed. If we do not truly see what is going on around us, we will be doomed. If we do not heed the message and pass it on, we will be doomed and if we never let the message into our hearts we will become extinct.

There is so much more to life than politics, money and war.

Society needs that, humankind does not.

What humankind needs is love peace and a reconciliation with the world around us and the world within us.
