The large rope hanging above the lady in prayer used to be made of hemp until hemp was outlawed after WW II as part of the treaty of unconditional surrender with the US. I awoke to a fine morning in Pokhara, Nepal. I went quickly to breakfast as I had engagements to attend in the morning.
